As I trudge into the wonderful world of blogging, I think there are a few side notes you may need to be aware of before taking this journey with me.  So I thought i would go a little David Letterman on ya, and give you the Top 10 things you need to know and keep in mind before reading anything authored by Tony Stockton…

Here we go!

10.  “…”
I’m not sure why but i like to use … a lot.  Take it as sort of a comma but more fun… a bit of a pause for thought if you will.

9.  Spelling Yes, Punctuation No
You can usually expect correct spelling, mostly because of the little squiggly red lines, but as for punctuation… probably not.  I like to just write as im thinking and get it down as quick as possible, and if i went back to correct the punctuation i would want to re-write everything i had.  And so for this reason, hopefully my Mom never reads my blogs or i will probably get a spanking.

8.  I write just like i talk
Darin affectionately reminds me of this every time i ask him to proof read for me, so… im just giving you a heads up on it.  If you know me, you already have a head start on understanding me…if not, sorry. (the funny part is i wrote that as if anyone other than people that feel sorry for me because i don’t have any reply’s will actually read my blog.”  So, im gonna try to make it as easy on you as possible and please be praying i will get better at this whole writing thing as we go along.

7.  Definitions
Undoubtedly there will be words that you have no idea what they mean…not because im really smart and have word of the day toilet paper… but mostly because i make em up.  So if there is ever a word that you don’t understand(and you actually want to know what it means) please feel free to ask at any time.

6.  Short and Sweet
One thing i can guarantee is that my blog’s will usually be (with the exception of this one) mmm… not so long.  First, because I usually try to get to the point and second, because I’m way too ADD to type for that long.

5.  Frequency
I promise i really am trying at this whole Blog thing, and i will try to be as consistent as possible but i really cant promise anything on frequency.  And side note…i just said that more as an accountability thing, not because people are gonna lose sleep if i don’t blog.

4.  Gentleness
Please keep in mind that i cry very easily so please, if you ever decide to reply… ” every thing you say in Love and Gentleness”

3.  Hannah
I drank my coffee in a Hannah Montana coffee mug this morning… ok, that wont necessarily effect my blog-ability but… im really reaching here to get to 10…sorry

2.  Reply
Im not really sure if it’s legal to reply to a reply on your own blog… so it may happen may not.. ill have to google that one, but we will play it by ear for now.

1.  For real
I really do pray that God will use me to speak through these blogs, that he will use me to some how be a vessel to some hurting, confused soul.

I truly look forward to our journey together… I think this whole blog thing may be pretty cool.
