Talk about growing where you are planted! The thing that stands out about Delilah to me is, the way God uses her to speak to those who may not hear His Word and teachings anywhere else. If she were on a Christian radio station, very few non-christians would ever hear her. Because of her willingness to speak out about her faith she is known by Christians and non-christians alike. Even someone like me who RARELY listens to secular stations knew exactly who she was and what she believes at the mention of her name. I couldn't tell you the name of any other radio personality out there.

That is a really cool story! I have not listened to her in a couple of years - I have XM and love NOT listening to advertising. I am happy to know that she is still out there and still has the courage to speak up for what is right in a loving way. We can all use a big dose of that! You are doing a great job!

Such a good reminder to do what we know God would want us to. I also like to listen to Delilah's show and she always impresses me with the things she says...but I never heard her say something like this before...very cool. Thanks for sharing this and reminding us how God would want us to handle a situation like this. (BTW, I agree with April...I would like to know what song she chose.)

Good story Tommy. Nice to hear that even people with "positions of power" are still willing to go out on a limb and speak the truth in love.
Personally I don't listen to much radio except Spirit FM and Joy FM...got tooooooooo many songs on the i-Pod! Thanks for being faithful and keeping the rest of us up to date and informed!

I have to admit that when I used to lay in my tanning bed at night I listened to Deliah and loved her. Well, after I completely ruined my skin and sold my tanning bed, I no longer have much opportunity to listen to her but I can only hope and pray that if the door is ever opened to me I will have that kind of courage and loving spirit. I also HAVE to know what song she played for him. Don't you dare tell me you can't remember!

I LISTEN TO HER TOO. SHE IS A GUILTY PLEASURE WITH HER CORNY LINES AND LOVE SONGS. SOMETHING I HAVE ALWAYS APPRECIATED ABOUT HER IS HER ABILITY TO DO HER JOB IN A SECULAR WORLD AND STILL SHOW THAT SHE IS A CHRISTIAN. I HOPE THAT IS TRUE IN ME AS WELL. BUT ONE VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION FOR YOU. . . WHAT WAS THE SONG SHE PLAYED FOR HIM IN THE END? I HAVE TO KNOW OR THE STORY IS INCOMPLETE.
