Ever want to remember someone’s name in the church and just can’t come up with it? Or maybe you just wanted to put a face with a name. But church directories seem to be a thing of the past. So we are starting an online church directory just for our members. All you have to do is go to our website (onefamilyonefocus.com) and click on the button titled “Get Connected” and then click the words “Online Directory”. Fill out the blanks and hit submit and you’re done. Then email a picture of you or your family to fccwauchula@gmail.com and we will take it from there. Please include your name with your picture and we will send you a password to log onto the directory. So enter your info today, and make our online directory a wonderful resource for us all!

Do you know of someone here at FCC that is graduating from high school or college this year? We will be recognizing them on Sunday, June 3rd. So please let us know who they are by emailing us at info@onefamilyonefocus.com by Wednesday, May 23rd. We need everyone’s help on this; we don’t want any of our graduates to miss out on being honored!

It may surprise you to find out that we have 10 graduating seniors, in our county, who are homeless and that need our help.  These particular seniors may not have family members to live with and live on their own, the best way they can.  They have worked hard and have achieved so much in order to graduate on their own.

We have been asked to help with their graduation gifts, but these will not be ordinary gifts.  The gifts we give will help them eat, live and survive day to day.  The items listed below are all things that these students have needed over the course of their senior year.  We would like to make their lives a little bit easier.  Most of these students live with different friends each night or live in a car, just about any place they can find.

We have been given a special opportunity here to reach into the lives of these hard working students.  They have done their part by making it this far in order to graduate, against all odds, so let’s try to do the best we can to give back to them.

There are two ways you can help bless these students.  You can provide one or more items on the list by dropping them off by THIS Sunday, May 20th.  Or, you can decide to adopt one student and provide them with all of the items on the list and drop off the entire gift basket by THIS Sunday, May 20th.

Items for homeless graduation project gift bag:

• Restaurant gift cards
• Phone cards
• Visa gift cards
• Roll of quarters
• Deodorant
• Toothpaste/toothbrush
• Hairbrush and comb
• Laundry soap
• Shampoo
• Hand sanitizer
• Body soap
• Towels/washcloth
• Collapsible Laundry Bag (this is what they would use to carry their belongings in on a daily basis since they have to move so much)

It’s time to register for summer camp at Lake Aurora! The spots available for camp fill up very quickly, so please make sure you send in your registration by June 3rd to reserve a spot for your child. Aurora Bucks and Registration packets are available in the lobby at the Information Desk.

Crew leaders/1st-time volunteers: You MUST attend one of two special meetings…THIS Thursday, May 17th @ 6:30 PM or THIS Sunday, May 20th @ 4:30 PM.

Pre-K VBS ONLY HAS 15 SPOTS LEFT! Child MUST be 3 by May 1st and MUST be potty trained. You can register your preschooler on Sunday at the VBS Desk in the lobby by requesting a special Pre-K registration form. (Your child’s spot will not be secured without a paid registration fee.)

Pre-register your child and make “shore” they don’t miss out! Fill out the registration sheet in the bulletin on Sunday and turn it in at the VBS Desk in the lobby. (Extra registration sheets are available at the VBS Desk as well.) You can pre-pay for only $5 per child ($10 maximum per family), but remember…FRIENDS ARE FREE AT FCC! A brand new ministry for widows has begun! Anyone that’s interested in helping with this ministry, or just wanting to know more about it, can contact Susan Roberts at 863-832-0778.
